Do I need an appointment?

Yes, appointments are necessary for all of our services. At Little Feet 3D, we know it can be tough to schedule appointments during the week; we are proud to offer availability on both Saturdays and Sundays to meet your needs.  We suggest scheduling your appointment a couple of weeks ahead if you have a specific date in mind.

Is it possible to determine the gender during 3D/4D baby ultrasound?

Yes, in almost all cases we are able to provide confirmation of your baby's gender but we will only do so if you ask! It’s possible that at your appointment, your baby may not be in the best position to confirm the gender; if this happens to you, we’ll book a complimentary re-scan for a later date to try again!

We are confident to accurately determine the gender of your baby, but if we’re wrong, we’ll gladly award you $120!

Can I bring family and friends for the 3D baby ultrasound session?

Yes!  We know how important it is to have your loved ones share this exciting experience with you! We are proud to offer you several different options to fit your needs. Our studio is roomy enough to comfortably fit Mommy, 4 adult family members and 1-2 small children.

Will my 3D pregnancy pictures always turn out well?

At Little Feet 3D, we are committed to providing your family the best experience possible. This is an exciting time for you and we're excited to be part of your journey! There may be times when the baby's position is not ideal, such as when they are face down. This position may make it difficult for you to see the baby's face on the scan. If this happens during your appointment, we will book one complimentary re-scan for you to come back in and try again.

What are 3D/4D ultrasounds? Are they safe?

In 3D/4D scanning, the same type, frequency, power and intensity of sound waves are used as are utilized with conventional 2D scanning one receives for medical purposes through their doctor.

Our services are non-diagnostic; they are for bonding/entertainment purposes only (i.e. not for medical purposes). Non-diagnostic ultrasounds do not replace diagnostic ultrasounds ordered by your doctor. Women interested in having an ultrasound with Little Feet 3D must be in the active care of a pre-natal physician or other medical practitioner. If you have any questions on the safety or suitability of non-diagnostic ultrasounds, we suggest you speak with your doctor before booking your appointment with us.

Please note: Ultrasounds do not use radiation to see your baby.

When is the best time for me to see my baby?

At Little Feet 3D we strongly recommend waiting until at least 20 weeks gestation before coming in to see us – we want you to have the best look possible at your baby! Here are some features you can expect to see on your baby at:

  • 20-24 weeks: your baby’s facial features are starting to be defined and you can see more of the full body as well.
  • 24-30 weeks:  your baby's facial features are well defined now and you should be able to see a clear image of their sweet face. This is a great time to come in for your 3D ultrasound!
  • 31-33 weeks: your baby is almost here! At this stage, your baby is getting big and is taking up quite a bit of room in the womb. It's still possible to do the 3D ultrasound at this stage, but it may be more difficult to see all of the features of your little one's face.
How long will my appointment be?

The length of your appointment will depend on the package you’ve chosen and can range from 10 to 30 minutes. At the end of your session, we also print pictures and/or download your pictures and videos to a USB stick to take home (if you have chosen that package) which will take approximately 5 minutes. Please arrive 10 minutes before your appointment so we can complete your registration.

If you have more questions or want to talk through our options in more detail, please give us a call!
